COBRA Subsidy Extended Again
The U. S. Senate passed H.R. 4691 temporarily extending the 65% COBRA subsidy to employees involuntarily terminated from March 1 through March 31, 2010. President Obama signed the bill into law on March 2. This temporary measure also includes an extension of unemployment benefits through April 5, 2010. This short-term extension is intended to give congress time to consider extending these programs through December 31, 2010. Stay tuned.
